Mr Agwunobi provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and surgical care treatments. You can find out more about common conditions patients present with by selecting and clicking the common condition below:

  • Abdominal pain, or stomach ache, is a term often used to refer to cramps or a dull ache in the tummy (abdomen). It's usually short-lived and is often not serious.

  • Anal pruritus (anal itching) is itching of the anus or the skin around it. The anus or the back passage is the last part of the digestive system. It is where bowel movements leave the body.

  • Barrett’s Oesophagus is a complication of acid reflux whereby the lining of the oesophagus changes from the normal pinkish-white, flat (squamous) cells to the bright salmon/red coloured rectangular (columnar) cells found further down the gastrointestinal tract.

  • Acid reflux (heartburn), or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease is a very common condition. It occurs when the stomach contents back up into the oesophagus or gullet.

  • Gallstones usually present with pain in the right upper abdomen. However, it can sometimes feel like a tight band running across the whole area and the pain may also radiate to the back, between the shoulder blades.

  • Haemorrhoids (also known as “piles”) are swollen blood vessels (veins) near the back passage that can cause itching and pain around the back passage.

  • Hiatus Hernia occurs when part of the stomach pushes up into the chest through the diaphragm.

What Our Patients Say

Hiatus Hernia patient

"After successfully undergoing a hiatus hernia procedure carried out by Mr Agwunobi, I know I should make the time to explain how grateful I am to you for making such a significant difference to the quality of my life. Most pleasing has been how easily things have been corrected despite me having left it far too long before seeking your help."
